Today is a happy day. I have almost managed to make a place myself at mDhil :) Read the JD its like a dream job!!
But happiness can be over-shadowed many times. While I was finding my way to the bus-stop, I suddenly felt a blow on my back. When I turned back I saw a middle aged man running and I knew it was him. I have pretty fast reflexes, trust me. I ran behind him. ( I am quite a runner ) Seeing me running behind him a couple of guys on bikes stopped. I had got a hold of him and had penetrated my nails into his head. (Nails, my weapon). By this time crowd gathered and people hit him a lot. I have no idea why did he do what he did. Though people were talking in Kannada I understood that he wasn't a mad guy living on road. He was dressed okay and I didn't even see him anywhere.
This is the second time I am sharing something like this and you might feel that only I go through such things..But well I know many women who go through the same without saying a word.
I have no idea how safe we are in this society. Everyday when we leave our house their is hope that we will come back safely and there is faith which keeps us going.. But sometimes I wonder how safe m I? ..*pondering*
My hand is swollen because I have hit him a lot.. But it doesn't matter because I did...
But I wonder:
1.Why did he do that?
2.why me?
I will never know:)
Well before anyone comes to dressing I just wanna say I wear all kind of clothes but today I was wearing the Kurti from this photo ..
All I want to say is fight, fight till you are alive..If you don't fight you are already dead inside ..
Still there is #hope and #faith so Cheers to beautiful life !!

Be bold in the same way because it gives courage to all the women who are reading this blog......we aren't safe anywhere at all .......so have to be bold enough to fight out the situation.....cheers to Women Power......

Hats off to your strength, you r a fighter and this proves that you can survive this world. You don't need anyone but caution is d only word I can say you need to be more cautious and alert all the time. Once again hats off to your spirit
ReplyDelete:) Caution is a good word.. perhaps when I am walking on a dark street alone..I will practice it. But in day-light, on a road full of traffic, where you are looking for a bus stand.. if someone comes from behind, how am I suppose to know :(

N yes safety in b'lore is questionable too!! but one needs to be brave... u set a good example to follow... Always... :)
:)
DeleteI know.. I wish people around you were better.. :(
Safety anywhere is questionable ...
You too are a good example, you too did the same thing that I did.. Thats what we girls are suppose to do...
Sad to know that something like this happened to you and its even worst, that it has happened with you earlier too. I was in that city for like 5 years, and never heard anything of this sort. But I must say, never heard any gal telling me that she beat the shit out of a guy who tried something like this. Glad that I know a gal who's got guts to beat the crap out of such pathetic kind of men. take care. hope this never happens with any women in any world. Women are to be respected and not be molested like this.
ReplyDeleteMore power to you ladies out there. kudos !
Cheers

Sunil as I mentioned no one comes out and speaks. I know a lot of things happen around and you can see in the other two comments quoting similar incidents they too are from bangalore. Btw this is not molestation, it is harassment..and I was always against anything wrong and will stand up when needed.
DeleteCheers :)
Good Move... :) All such guys need to be beeten like helllll nd shit taken out of dem... :) And all girls too should start doing what you did..
ReplyDelete:) Thanks Mounish
DeleteI know many girls who have done exactly the same thing .. and m proud to have such friends. if we don't stand up today tomorrow there might be more..
But then we live on #Hope and #Faith..
Great job sneha!! Such people are a nuisance on the face of this world..And ya its not a yahin-hota-hai thing.. its so omnipresent..and like you said its also not aise-kapde-pehne-the-isliye stuff..in chennai, i have heard and read(though never seen myself) about women in burqas getting harassed standing in front of their colleges waiting for their buses in BROAD daylight..
ReplyDeleteThanks Sucha! :)
DeleteYup exactly its not about clothes or place. Anything can happen anywhere and all we can do is to be prepared.
